THE PARIS NEWS, Mon., May 4, 1992, p. 2A: ‘Douglas Kimball, 56, Rt. 1, Powderly, died Sun., May 3, at 3 a.m. in St. Joseph’s Hospital. Services, 11 a.m. Tue., May 5, at Fry and Gibbs Funeral Home with Rev. Harold Smith. Born in Paris, son of Walter and Ora Cole Kimball, he attended Powderly schools and married Wanda J. Walker Morris Jul. 31, 1974, in Hugo. Worked for Tom’s Distributing Co. and was member of Powderly Baptist Church. Surviving are his wife; 5 daughters, Caron Sparks of Pasadena, Cyntha Crow of Mt. Vernon, Patricia Shaefer of Pasadena, Sally Armstrong of Forest Chapel and Kelly Morris of Powderly; 2 sons, Mike Kimball of Atlanta and Chuck Morris of Powderly; his mother of Powderly; 12 grandchildren. Was preceded in death by a grandson, Christopher Downs, in 1980.’
