He is survived by his wife of 21 years Beverly Howard London. His two sons Rodney Kent and wife Trish of Grants, New Mexico and Matthew Wayne and wife Cassie of Huntsville, Texas. Stepson Justin Neil Harwell and Brandy of Jasper, Texas Stepson Jarrot Lee Harwell and wife Sommer of Lumberton, Texas.

Donald was employed by Coca Cola as route salesman and manager in Jasper, Texas. He later went to work for TDCJ as a Correctional Officer in the transportation department. He loved to hunt, especially when he could take his two beagles with him Dan and Ann. After his retirement he really enjoyed hunting and fishing.
