Mercy Dee was the daughter of Robert Jackson Jr. (Natchitoches, Louisiana) and Mandy Lee Allen (Cheneyville, Louisiana). The oldest sister of Bobbie Lee Williams and Mary Lee Jackson (Ivory) She was the mother of four children: Donald Ray Jackson, Shirley August (King), Ida Mae August and Robert Earl August. She's also the grandmother of 15 grandchildren.
