Audrey Lea Pope, age 87, of Glenwood, passed away on Sunday, February 7, 2021.

She was born on October 26, 1933 in Vidette, the daughter of Austin Grant Crawford and Mattie Mae Trivette Crawford. She was preceded in death by her husband, Wendell Richard Pope; her very special companion of many years, Joseph J. Knapp; her daughter, Frances L. Pope; her parents; and all of her siblings.

Audrey was always a hard worker, having worked for many years while she lived in Texas at Safeway on the loading docks and several others places throughout the years. Upon her return to Arkansas, she found her true passion when she and Joseph joyfully worked side-by-side gardening and canning. Audrey's greatest joy in life was spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren, whom she took tremendous joy in spending a fortune on and spoiling them rotten. She will be deeply missed by all who had the joy of knowing and loving her.

She is survived by her son, Mike (Carol) Pope of Glenwood; two daughters, Connie (David) Rodriguez and Beverly (Jimmy) Wells, all of Garland, Texas; four grandchildren, Mike (Tiffany) Pope, Jr., Audrey Michelle Pope, Joseph (Melissa) Rodriguez and Daniel Ray (Betsy) Humphreys; several great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members and a host of wonderful friends.

Graveside services will be held at 2:00 PM, Thursday, February 11, 2021, in the Black Springs Cemetery with Bro. Bobby Lock officiating.
