Grandmother Of Local Woman Dies At Barry Sunday

Mrs. Frances Stokes, mother of the late J.W. Stokes, passed away at her home near Barry, Navarro County, Sunday night, Jan. 24 at 11 o'clock, at the age of 81 years.

The deceased has visited in Memphis many times in the past 27 years and made a number of friends here. She was the grandmother of Mrs. Clyde Milam.

She is survived by one son, Ed Stokes of Dallas; one daughter, Mrs. Lige Armstrong of Emhouse; five grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
