Services Held for George L. Brown
Funeral services were held Tuesday, Dec. 29, in the LDS Stake Chapel for George Little Brown, 71. Mr. Brown passed away Saturday, Dec. 26, of a lingering illness in North Big Horn hospital, where he had been a patient for two weeks.
Services were under the direction of Councelor Herald Bassett. The opening prayer was offered by Orin Jones and the Welch brothers sang "An Angle From on High." Rupert Kocherhans gave the obituary and Mrs. Norma Cutler played a medley of favorite songs on the organ. Wilmer Nicholls gave the sermon. The Welch brothers sang "Oh My Father" and the closing prayer was given by Chester Christiansen.
Interment was in the Lovell cemetery under the direction of Haskell Funeral Home.
George Little Brown, Big Horn Basin dairy farmer for 64 years, was born July 14, 1893 at Kanab, Utah, a son of Mr. and Mrs. Ebenezer Brown. He married Naomi Johnson at Lovell Oct. 4, 1913. They lived at Hyattsville for five years, then moved back to Lovell in 1924.
Mr. Brown was a member of the LDS church.
He is survived by his widow; one daughter, Mrs. Ilene Dover of Cody; two sons, Brownie and Wyo of Lovell; eight grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

LOVELL, Wyo. -- George Little Brown, 71, Big Horn Basin dairy farmer for 64 years, died of a lingering illness Saturday in a Lovell hospital where he had been for two weeks.
Mr. Brown was born July 14, 1893, at Kanab, Utah, a son of Mr. and Mrs. Ebenezer Brown. He married Naomi Johnson here Oct. 4, 1913. They lived at Hyattville for five years, and then moved back to Lovell in 1924.
He was a member of the Lovell Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Surviving are his widow; a daughter, Mrs. Ilene Dover of Cody; two sons, Brownie J. Brown and Wyo J. Brown, both of Lovell; four brothers, Joseph G. of Belfry, Mont., E. Ray of Lindon, Utah, and Elgin and Alma Brown, both of Lovell; eight grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday in Lovell LDS Stake House with the Rev. Harris Asay officiating. Burial will be in Lovell City Cemetery with Haskell Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
