Aaron served in the U.S. Navy and Coast Guard during World War II and the Korean Wars as a maintenance engineer. He retired from the U.S. Coast Guard with a rank of Chief Petty Officer after twenty years of service. After his military service, Aaron worked for the Olin Corporation for the next twenty years.
Survivors: wife, Shirley; a son, Greg A. Ruch and his wife, Donna M. of Macungie; grandsons, Joshua and Christopher Ruch; sisters, Joyce Wagner and Naomi David; and a brother, Charles Ruch. Aaron was predeceased by a sister, Ruth Rush.
Services: Friday August 27, 2010 at 11 a.m. in the Sell-Herron Funeral Home, 1145 Lehigh Street Allentown call 10 to 11 a.m. in the Funeral Home. Burial in Cedar Hill Memorial Park in Allentown.
