Clarissa C. Clark, familiarly known as "Aunt Carrie," died at the Peterborough Home for the Aged, Tuesday, March 30, in her 95th year. She was born in Shipton, Canada, June 6, 1819, but had been a resident of Peterborough for a good many years, coming here, we believe, from the town of Dublin. She is survived by no near relatives, and had been a boarder at the Home for the past few years. For a number of years she owned and lived in the house on Union street now occupied by Harry France, living alone as long as it was prudent for one in advanced years. She was a member of the Unitarian church and a regular attendant as along as her health permitted. Although of a quiet and retiring disposition, she had a large circle of friends. Funeral will be held from the Home Friday afternoon at 1.00 o'clock, attended by Rev. S. L. Elberfeld, and her remains will be laid at rest in the village cemetery.
