OBITUARY

COPE
— Funeral services for Mrs.
Alice May Cope
, 64 years old, who
died at 3:10 o'clock yesterday
morning at her home, 2528 Empire
avenue, will be held at 2 o'clock
this afternoon at the Lanpher
chapel. The Rev. W. H. Flippln will
officiate.

Six nephews, Walter, Lloyd, Harley,
Lawrence and Homer Van Horn and
Everett Lea, will be pallbearers.

Burial will be in a Galena cemetery.

Mrs. Cope was born in Newton county
and had been a resident of Joplin
virtually all her life.

Surviving are a son, Horace Cope, at
home; two daughters, Mrs. Myrtle
Kimbley, at home, and Mrs. Lavena
Andrews, 2528 Bird avenue; a brother,
William Lea of Galena; four sisters, Mrs.
Sarah Harold of Kansas City, Mrs. Anna
Crocker and Mrs. Harriett Spencer of
Wichita, and Mrs. Mary Jane Van Horn
of Baxter Springs, and three grandchildren.
