Boonville - Noah B. Pitcher, who died of heart disease at the residence of his brother, Ephraim Pitcher, at Fort Collins, CO, December 30. was in his 74th year. He was formerly a prominent farmer of Boonville, removing from here to Madison, Lake County, Ohio, some 24 years ago. He was the son of Noah Pitcher of Boonville, who was well known as one of the early settlers in this town.
The deceased was married to Sarah Wheeler and the couple lived together for many years. They were both born on the same day and hour, January 12, 1820. Mrs. Pitcher died some 15 years ago, 1879.
On March 9, 1880, Mr. Wheeler married Mrs. Julia A. Scrafford, widow of Daniel Scrafford of Troy, formerly of Port Leyden and some three years ago death again entered the homestead, and he was left a widower for the second time.
Two daughters and one son survive, Mrs. David Hitchcock of Poughkeepsie; Mrs. Byron Gaylord of Ashtabula, Ohio and Oliver Pitcher of Cleveland, OH. The remains were brought to Boonville for interment, accompanied by Mrs. Hitchcock and his son, Oliver. Boonville Herald, Thursday, January 14, 1893
