MARTINSBURG

James G. Young and Mrs. Fannie J. Smith United in Marriage at M. E. Parsonage –

James G. Young and Mrs. Fannie J. Smith, both of Constableville, were married at the M. E. parsonage, Friday morning, June 17th, by Rev. J. A. Sherlock, pastor of the M. E. church. They were attended by Clarence A. Smith and Miss Viola H. Barrow, a son and daughter of Mrs. Smith. The bridegroom is a farmer and both he and Mrs. Young are well known in this vicinity. After a brief wedding trip to Canada, they will reside in Constableville.

We have not been able to determine the date of death for James G. Young at this point, but it appears he passed away before Fannie. She then had been a widow 3 times in her life. She was a diabetic and her grandson recalls visiting her in her home … and she was bedridden. She passed away on December 9, 1949 in Watson, Lewis County, New York and is buried in the Turin Cemetery, Turin, Lewis, New York.
