Peggie was most proud of her family and especially her grandchildren during her later years in life. In addition to being a devoted and loving wife, mother and grandmother she worked as a bookkeeper for many years, primarily at Lake City Industrial Products retiring in 1997. She also loved being a volunteer at UPMC Hamot where she was the bookkeeper of the Gift Shop for many years. Peggie was also a lover of birds, gardening and loved animals, mostly dogs.
In addition to her parents, Peggie was preceded in death by her brother E. Clyde “Skip” Snyder II and Patricia Hemme.
She is survived by her husband Kenneth B. Johnson; sons Jon Daniel Johnson Noblesville, IN, Clayton Drew Johnson, Fairview, PA and Eric J. Johnson (Michelle) of Denver, CO. She is further survived by her five grandchildren Danielle, Drew, Lily, Cooper and Kiera.
Private arrangements have been entrusted to Burton Quinn Scott Cremation and Funeral Services, West Ridge, 3801 W. 26th St. (at Powell Ave.) Erie, PA 16506. Inurnment will be private and at a later date within the family lot at Fairview Cemetery.
