Haskell, Texas - Lorene Adams, 94, of Haskell, died Thursday, October 25, 2007, at Haskell Memorial Hospital.

A Funeral Service will be held 2 p.m., Sunday, October 28, 2007, at First Baptist Church, Haskell, with Dr. Troy Culpepper and Pastor Gasaway officiating. Burial will follow at Willow Cemetery, under the direction of Holden - McCauley Funeral Home, Haskell. Visitation will be held Saturday, October 27, 2007, from 6 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.

Lorene was born November 22, 1912, the daughter of Samuel Hayes and Cora Bishop Hayes. She married Walter J. Adams November 23, 1937, in Anson, and he preceded her in death February 7, 1982. Lorene was a lifetime resident of Haskell and a member of FirstBaptist Church in Haskell, where she also taught Sunday School in the primary department for 32 years.

She is survived by son; Howard Adams and wife Barbara, daughters; Louise Hooks and husband Lacy, Ina Altum, all of Abilene, Linda Gayle Elmore and husband Joe of Mt. Olive Mississippi, 24 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren, and 12 great-great-grandchildren.

Lorene was preceded in death by her parents, husband; Walter J. Adams, daughter; Emma Marie Wilson, son; W.J Adams Jr., three sisters and two brothers.
