Albin C. Kendall, 86, went to be with our Creator on November 8th, 2014 in Shawnee, OK. A.C. was born on January 24th, 1928 in Dublin, Texas to Oscar and Ola Lee Kendall but was currently living in Seminole, OK with his wife. He was a Nascar fan, a Sooners fan, and a true American. He greatly enjoyed spending time fishing and spending time with his family and friends. He would tell you that the secret to a good marriage was just saying yes and doing what was asked as you would eventually have to give in anyway. He was a strong man, a good man, and wise man. He served in the Navy for 1 year and then he went into the Air Force for a little over 21 years and was able to travel to many places and see many things including Guam, Okinawa, Africa, and many US States including Alaska and Hawaii. He was a Veteran of WWII, The Korean Conflict, and the Vietnam War. After retiring from the military, he then went to work at Tinker Air Force Base and bought a home in Del City. He lived there for 17 years and then moved to Shawnee where he lived for the next 26 years. He continued to work at Tinker for a while and then retired with a total of almost 22 years at Tinker itself. While there, he also worked many long hours through Desert Storm and Desert Shield to supply things needed for the soldiers fighting. He was not a stranger to hard work and he had the hands to prove it. He was preceded in death by his son and daughter, Albin Lee Kendall and Delores Ann Bookout-Kendall, his granddaughter Carrie Lea Kendall, his mother Ola Lee Qualls and several brothers and sisters, some half, some full, some step, but all family. He was indeed a big man with a big heart. Surviving his loss are his wife of 65 years, Lorene Kendall, His daughter Karen Carter and her son Timothy Carter and several wonderful cousins, nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews, as well as multiple friends of the family. His service is to be held at Bill Eisenhour Southeast Chapel Saturday November 15, 2014. Arrangements under the direction of Bill Eisenhour Funeral Home, Del City, Oklahoma.
