William Eugene Byrd a pipefitter with ADDSCO, died Sunday at a local hospital. He was 69.
Byrd, a native of Mobile County, resided in Citronelle. He was a member of Fellowship Baptist Church in Fellowship and a member of Citronelle Masonic Lodge 637. He was a Navy veteran.
He si survived by his wife, Betty May Cremer Byrd of Citronelle; two sons, William E. Byrd and Arthur Byrd, both of Seattle, Wash.; three daughters, Vicky Barrow of Trappe, MD., Barbara Brady and Frances Bensen, both of Seattle; three brothers, Gordon Byrd of Citronelle, Calvin Byrd of Chunchula and David Byrd of Mobile; a sister Shirley Pritchett of Semmes; 13 grandchildren; and two great grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled this evening from 6 to 9 at Freeman Funeral Home in Citronelle. The funeral is set for 11 a.m. Wednesday at Fellowship Baptist Church, with interment at Fellowship Cemetery.
