Mr. Moreno retired from G & C in 1990. Before his health declined, he and his wife shared a passion for gardening. He enjoyed working on cars, watching boxing and wrestling, eating Mexican bread and spending time with his family. He loved the color green. Salvador was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church.
Surviving are his wife, Carmen of Fremont; sons, Refugio (Marlene) of Michigan, Joe (Kim S.) and Lazaro, both of Fremont, Alfredo of Tiffin, Frank of Fremont and Noe of Texas; daughters, Olga (Adolf) Lopez, Soila Esquivel, Rosa (Wade) Parker, all of Fremont and Diana (Ian) Johnson of California; two sisters; seventeen grandchildren; and ten great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brother and son, Eden.
Visitation: Sunday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. with a Vigil at 7:30 p.m. at Wonderly Horvath Hanes Funeral Home and Crematory, 425 E. State St., Fremont, OH.
Mass of Christian Burial: Monday, March 5, 2012, 11:00 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 709 Croghan St., Fremont, with Fr. Michael Zacharias officiating.
