Timothy D. Anderson, age 61, of Cottage Grove, formerly of Hutchinson, passed away Sunday, March 12, 2006, at the Sacred Heart Hospital in Eau Claire, Wis.
Timothy David Anderson was born on Feb. 6, 1945, in Grand Rapids. He was the son of David and Ruth (Stenrud) Anderson. Timothy was baptized as an adult at Christ The King Lutheran Church in Hutchinson. He received his elementary school education in Salt Lake City, Utah. Timothy attended Agricultural High School in Grand Rapids, and was valedictorian of the Class of 1963. He entered active military service in the United States Navy on Jan. 8, 1964, and served his country in Norfolk, Va. Timothy received an honorable discharge on Dec. 18, 1967. On May 27, 1978, Timothy was united in marriage to Kathy Forsberg at Christ The King Lutheran Church in Hutchinson. This marriage was blessed with one child. Timothy and Kathy resided in Hutchinson. They shared 27 years of marriage.
Timothy held employment as an engineer for 3M in Hutchinson for more than 30 years. He was a former member of Christ The King Lutheran Church in Hutchinson. Timothy also was a member of the Hutchinson American Legion Post No. 96, a lifetime member of the National Rifle Association, and a lifetime member of the North American Hunting Club.
Timothy was an avid deer hunter and outdoorsman, who enjoyed black powder shooting. He loved to hunt on his 40 acres of land near Grand Rapids. Timothy was a skilled handyman and worked on tractors and engines. He was an avid reader and American Indian history buff, and loved watching “western” movies. Timothy especially enjoyed the time he spent with his family. Blessed be his memory.
Tim is preceded in death by his father, David Anderson; brother, Jan Anderson; and grandparents, Clyde and Ivy Miller and Oluf and Alma Stenrud.
Timothy is survived by his wife, Kathy Anderson, of Cottage Grove; children, Michael Anderson and his wife, Cori of Cumberland, Wis., Brian Anderson and his wife, Michelle of Cumberland, Wis., Alison Nohner and her husband, Eric of Cottage Grove, Katie Anderson and her fiancé, Michael Kullmann of Hastings; grandchildren, Emily Anderson, Timmy Anderson, Eric Anderson, Chris Anderson, Angie Anderson, Juliana Nohner, Lily Nohner and Eva Nohner; mother, Ruth Anderson of Jacobson; brother, Jeff Anderson and his wife, Barb of Garrison; sister, Ramona Cronk and her husband, Marshall of Jacobson; nieces, nephews, and many other relatives and friends.
Services: Funeral services were held 11 a.m. Friday, March 17, at Christ The King Lutheran Church in Hutchinson, with interment in Ball Bluff Cemetery in Jacobson. The Rev. Jon Lindekugel officiated.
