MELVILLE - Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. today at the Lafond-Ardoin Funeral Home in Melville for Mr. Elum “Pete” Marcotte Sr., 45, who died at 7:45 a.m. Friday [19 July 1985] at Earl K. Long Hospital. Burial will be at the Baptist Cemetery at Melville. Visitation continues today. Mr. Marcotte was an army veteran. Survivors include his wife, Dorthea “Dottie” Mouille Marcotte, a son, Elum “E.J.” Marcotte Jr. of Melville; three daughters, Cindy, Mona and Connie Marcotte, all of Melville; and a brother, Cleveland Marcotte of Melville.
