WILLOW SPRING- David "Wallace" Barbour, 81, passed away on Monday at The Laurels of Chatham in Pittsboro. A native of Wake County, Wallace was the son of the late Almon and Hercelia Myatt Barbour. Wallace lived a humble life. He spent his earlier years as an owner of Wilson & Cofield Electric in Raleigh. Once he retired, he enjoyed working on his farm where he grew chickens and cows. He loved spending time with his family and friends. He enjoyed his time especially these last few years farming which is where his life began."

A graveside service will be held on Friday, March 19th at 11:00 AM at Fellowship Baptist Church Cemetery, 1701 Bud Lipscomb Rd. Willow Spring, NC 27592.

Wallace is survived by his wife of 61 years, Faye Barbour; daughter, Sherry Barbour Fish (Alan) of Fuquay-Varina; sister, Sylvia Stephens (Steve) of Graham; granddaughters, Jessica Fish (Logan Knott) of Willow Spring, Megan Fish (Karen Petersen) of Willow Spring; nieces and nephews, Josh Stephens (Gina), Gwendolyn Stephens (Scott Jennings), Jennifer Pearson (Luke), Pennilee West (Jeff Lambert), Angela Bergevin (Sulivan), Christina Hong (Tim), Luke Stephens (Melissa), Robert Barbour (Terry); great nieces and nephews, Autumn, James, Adina, Parie, Presley, Porter, Draden, June, Eve, Andrew, Elizabeth, Paul, Ella, Emerson, Christopher Stephens, Nova, Christopher Barbour and Danielle; great-great nieces and nephews, Joseph, Lilly Mae, Clayton and Kenzie.

In addition to his parents, Wallace was preceded in death by his brothers, Jarvis Barbour and Robert Barbour; nephews, Mark Stephens and David Barbour.
