Of Ste. Genevieve, Missouri passed away Tuesday, March 16, 2021 at her home. She was born August 31, 1929 in Rush Tower, Missouri the daughter of the late Iva (nee McCarty) and Theodore Ware, Sr.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband Marvin Pope; and 1 grandchild.
She is survived by her sons Donald M. (Vivian) Pope of Festus, Missouri, Ronald M. (the late Brenda) Pope of Marble Hill, Missouri, John W. (Zella) Pope of Illinois, James W. Pope of Ste. Genevieve, Randy M. (Sharon) Pope of Festus; daughters Rose (Joe) Parther of Warrenton, Missouri; Cynthia (Wilfred) Dutton of Ste. Genevieve; sister Rose Marie of Farmington, Missouri, Dorothy M. (the late Mike) Keys of Festus, Elsie (the late Don) Dodd of Herculaneum, Missouri, Jean (the late Charles) Wilson of Festus; brother Theodore Ware of Carolina, 11 grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
She retired as a Nurses Aid from the former Jefferson Memorial Hospital in Crystal City, Missouri and she was a member of the Fairview Christian Church in Festus.
Visitation Friday, March 19, 2021at Vinyard Funeral Home in Festus from 4:00 P.M. until time of funeral services at 6:00 P.M. Interment at a later date in Rose Lawn Memorial Gardens in Crystal City. Memorials in her memory are preferred to the Alzheimer's Association.
