He served during the Korean War as a Sergeant in the U.S. Army. had been a life resident of Washington County and was a 1946 graduate of the old Campbellsburg High School. He was a member of the Sellersburg Church of God July 16, 1949 he married Helen M. (Lone) Allison. He retired in 2003 from the old Link Handle Company Salem, Indiana and then worked for Securitas as a guard at GKN Sinter Metals in Salem, retiring from there in 2012.
Survivors include: Wife: Helen M. (Lone) Allison Son: Kent L. Allison of Indianapolis, Indiana.
He was preceded in death by an infant brother: Robert Ross Allison, a brother: Paul Edward Allison and a sister: Miriam Catherine Mahuron.
Funeral Service: 11:00 am Saturday with Pastor Ardel Bacon officiating. Interment will follow the service with Military Honors at Crown Hill Cemetery. Visitation: 4 to 8 pm Friday and 9 am until the time of the service on Saturday.
