Juanita Belle Bryant, 82, of Marble, passed away Monday, March 15, 2021, at home.

She was born Friday, Dec. 2, 1938, in Red Star to Walter Lee and Grace Ward Parker.

Juanita married Claude Thompson on June 15, 1956, and together they were parents to four children. She worked at the Office of Human Concern for 42 years, 28 of those years she served as director of the Madison County Senior Activity Center. She was a member of the Marble United Baptist Church and loved her family more than anything. She also loved to travel, camp, fish, and taking her great-grandchildren on hikes through the woods, where they would build playhouses and play in the creek.

Juanita was preceded in death by her parents; her husbands, Claude Thompson and Eddie Bryant; two sons, Johnny Thompson and Gary Thompson; one sister, Nancy Acuff; and half-siblings, Ivan Ward, Wayne Parker, Faryle Parker, Elsie Marisuban, and Peggy Erickson.

She is survived by one son, David Thompson of Marble, one daughter and son-in-law, Judy and Rick Houston of Kingston; one daughter-in-law, Kathy and Leon Fancher of Kingston; one brother and sister-in-law, Jesse and Faye Parker of Combs; four grandchildren, Lyndell and Jackie Thompson of Huntsville; Latasha and Daniel Born of Marble, Jessica and CJ Bellinger of Berryville, and Derrick Houston of Kingston; seven great-grandchildren, Hannah and Braxton Born of Marble; Gabriella, Jacob, and Laelah Thompson of Huntsville, and Mason and Caleb Bellinger of Berryville; and a host of family and friends.

The family will receive friends 5 p.m. to 7 p.m., Friday, March 19, 2021, at Brashears Funeral Home. Due to Covid-19, please practice social distancing and masks are required.

Funeral Services will be 10 a.m., Saturday, March 20, 2021, at Brashears Funeral Home with Coy Siegrist and Alvin Reynolds officiating.

Pallbearers will be Lyndell Thompson, Derrick Houston, Daniel Born, CJ Bellinger, Doug Acuff, and Greg Wheeler.

Honorary pallbearers will be her great-grandchildren and good friend, Jerri Marlowe.

Interment will immediately follow services at the Kingston Cemetery.

Services are entrusted to Brashears Funeral Home and Crematory of Huntsville.
