Funeral Services for Melba Irene Eubanks, age 95, of Windom, Texas will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, March 18, 2021 at Wise Funeral Home Chapel. Mike Dickinson will officiate the service.
Burial will follow at Willow Wild Cemetery in Bonham, Texas. Melba passed away Sunday morning, March 14, 2021 at her home in Windom, Texas.
Melba was born on September 9, 1925 in Fannin County, Texas, the daughter of Theodore Valentine Chambers and Minnie Lee Morrison Chambers.
She enjoyed traveling, gardening, and spending time with her family. She married Harvey Thedford in 1945. Together they had two children. Harvey preceded her in death. She married Verlon Eubanks in 1983 with whom she spent her remaining years. He preceded her in death in 2019.
Melba is preceded in death by her parents, brothers, Warren Debbs Chambers, Allan Benson Chambers, Theodore Valentine Chambers Jr., William Chambers, and Dorsey Chambers; sisters, Mary Phillips, Ruby Louis Duncan, and Ruth Kilgore; and granddaughter, Tabitha Ortega.
She is survived by her son, H. Stanley Thedford and wife Sheri of Windom, Texas; daughter, Mauvelyn Thedford and husband James Shakelford of Texarkana, Texas; grandchildren, Jason Thedford and wife Casi, Michael Thedford and wife Jenny, Cherie Davis and husband Michael, and Adrianna Osburn and husband Donny; 13 great grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, extended family, and a host of friends.
Pallbearers will be Jason Thedford, Michael Davis,Michael Campell, Donnie Osburn and Michael Chance.
The family will receive friends at Wise Funeral Home on Wednesday evening, from 6:00 p.m. till 8:00 p.m.
