On Sunday, March 14th 2021, Daniel "Danny" Madrigal Sr., passed away, surrounded by loved ones at the age of 76.

Danny was born in Clifton, AZ on September 9th, 1944 to Crisanto and Teresa Madrigal. His family relocated to Duncan, Arizona, where he attended Duncan High School. Just prior to his Senior year, with his Mother's Blessing and written permission, he joined his first love- The United States Marine Corp. Which he served proudly for 14 years. During his career he fought in the Vietnam War in 1967 and 1968. During this time he earned the Purple Heart Medal and Vietnam Service Medal with two bronze stars. He attained the Rank of Staff Sergeant, Drill Instructor, Rifle Expert and Pistol Sharpshooter.

Upon return, he made his way to Hayden, Arizona where he married a kindhearted woman by the name of Aurelia "Rally" Acuna, and worked at the Asarco Copper Smelter for over 25 years. He remained in Hayden for the rest of his life. He made numerous friends in the area, most of whom he met at work, and always enjoyed jokes and laughter with them. His wit and timing made him quick with a joke that always had people laughing. He was a photographer and animal lover who enjoyed a good Western, delicious food, and being active. He rode his bike for many years and made sure to take his daily walk until the very end.

After his beloved and devoted wife Rally passed away much too soon, he would be blessed with the companionship of Patsy Phelan, a wonderful woman with a loving family that he enjoyed spending time with. He would miss her dearly, as she passed away, much too soon.

Daniel is survived by his son, Daniel A. Madrigal and daughter Kim Granado. As well as siblings, Lupe Madrigal, Marcos Madrigal and Margie Madrigal. He also leaves behind many Nieces and Nephews whom loved their "Uncle" very much. He is also preceded in death by his Mother, Father and siblings Martha Baca, Brigido Zamora, Socorro Juarez, and Chana Garcia.
