Presumed cemetery based on fact that he was living with his daughter Alvalina (Stearns) Schofield in the 1850 Census, and she was buried at this cemetery in 1861. His daughter Mary (Stearns) Schofield is also buried here. In the 1850 Census, his wife was living with their son, W.H. Stearns/Sterns, who was also living in Stephenson, Co., IL before he removed to Nebraska. Daniel and his wife moved from Gerry, Chautauqua Co., NY in 1846 . As of 1850, the US Census report indicates his condition as "insane" - possibly old age dementia. My late mother's genealogy files shows he passed away about 1856,
