A native of Laredo TX, Aaron had lived in Lake Charles for 12 years. He was a Life Scout with St. Margaret Troop #208, an altar server for St. Patrick Hospital, a student at Barbe High School, and a member of St. Margaret Catholic Church. He received the Ad Altare Dei Catholic Scout Medal through the Diocese of Lake Charles.
In addition to his parents, Aaron is survived by two brothers, Adam and John Guidry; sister Amanda Guidry; paternal grandmother Ora Guidry; and maternal grandmother Betty Crockett.

Daniel "Danny" Dougay, his son Robert Dougay, and Robert's friend Aaron Guidry were found murdered on March 22, 1993, in Danny's machine and auto repair shop.
A jury convicted the murderer of three counts of first-degree murder on May 10, 1996. On September 13, 1996, the judge formally sentenced him to three consecutive terms of life in prison without the possibility of parole, probation, or suspension of his sentence.
