George E. Bowman, 86, of Florida Ave., died of a heart ailment at his son's Raccoon Rd. home.

Mr Bowman was born June 29, 1898, in Leechburg, Penn, a son of George and Cora Baker Allshouse, moving to Youngstown in 1910. He retired from Youngstown Sheet & Tube's Campbell Works, as an electrical maintenance and systems designer. He was a past master of Western Star Masonic Lodge, Royal Arch Masons, Shrine Club, Aut Mori Grotto, and Eastern Star, among others. He was a member of Struthers United Presbyterian Church. He served in the Army during World War I.

His wife, the former Edna S. McCandless, whom he married April 21, 1919, died Oct 7, 1977.

He leaves three sons, Robert M. of Austintown, Gerald E. of Santa Ynez, Ca. and James D. of Boardman; two daughters, Mrs Beverly Johnson of Poland and Mrs June L. Evich of Youngstown; three brothers, Harold Allshouse of Ashtabula, Robert Allshouse of Chesterton, Ind., Jack Allshouse of Orem, Utah and a sister, Mrs Kathleen Driskell of San Angelo, Texas.

Two daughters, Mrs Georgine L. Frampton and Mrs Janet Hartzell are deceased. Two sisters and a brother are also deceased.
