Martin Specht, 88, former resident of this city, died at 1:10 o'clock yesterday morning at the home of a daughter, Mrs. Odie Adams, in Indianapolis. He had been ill for two weeks of ailments attendant to old age.
Funeral services will be held at 12 o'clock Tuesday noon at Indianapolis and at 2 o'clock in Hope Moravian church. Burial will be made in the Moravian cemetery at Hope.
Mr. Specht was born and reared at Hope, but spent much of his life here and was one of the founders of the Orinoco furniture factory.
Survivors beside Mrs. Adams include another daughter, Mrs. Carl Nolting of Indianapolis, and a sister, Mrs. Emma Michael of Berkley, Cal. He was a brother-in-law of Mrs. Rudolph Specht of 1613 Cottage avenue.
