Abe S. Dew, 74, of Duck Hill, died Saturday, Nov. 17, at his home. Services were at 2 p.m. Monday, Nov. 19 at the National Funeral Home with burial in the Duck Hill Cemetery. The Rev. Norris Corley officiated the services.
A retired employee of Illinois Central-Gulf Railroad, Dew is survived by his wife, Mrs. Bertha Dew; one daughter, Mrs. Margrete Thomas of Joliet, Ill.; four sons, James A. Dew and Leon Dew, both of Joliet. W. C. Dew of Plainfield, Ill., and Ernie Dew of Duck Hill; two sisters, Mrs. Nora Dillen of Okeechobee, Fla., and Mrs. Catherine Morrison of Tulsa, Okla.; two brothers, Hubert Dew of Como and Walter Dew of Olive Branch, 13 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
