Funeral services for B. F. Herman, Sr., were held December 24 at 10 a.m. at the Duck Hill Baptist Church.
Officiating was Rev. George Steward. Burial was in the Duck Hill cemetery, with Lee Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Herman died December 22 at the Tyler Holmes Hospital. He was 76 years old. A native of Montgomery County, he was a World War I veteran and a Mason. He was a member of The Duck Hill Baptist Church,
Surviving are three children, B. F. Herman, Jr. and Mrs. Claire Holmes, Duck Hill, and Mrs. Marjorie Goldman, Long Beach; six sisters, Mrs. Sallie Taylor, Memphis; Mrs. Jossie Taylor, Jonesboro. Arkansas; Miss Grace Herman, Orlando, Florida; and Mrs. Pauline Roby, Miss Bessie Herman, and Mrs. Lola Reed, all of Greenville. He had five grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Houston Bennett, L. L. Branscome, Jr., Elmo Branch, Russell Thomas, Walter Abel, Jr., and Billy Leverette.
