Emory, Texas - Longtime Duncan, Okla., resident EDITH LORENE CLINE SIMS, 95, of Emory, Texas, died Monday, Oct. 22, 2007, in Sulphur Springs, Hopkins County, Texas.
Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Friday in Don Grantham Funeral Home Chapel, with the Rev. Tracy L. Wilson officiating.
Interment will be in Resthaven Memorial Gardens.
Edith was born Sept. 7, 1912, in Duncan, one of six children of Franklin Everett Cline and Allen Pearl McGrady.
She grew up in Duncan and attended Duncan area schools.
She married John Preston Cash on Sept. 25, 1928, in Walters, Okla. They had one child, a son, Jerrold Gene Cash, born in 1929. Divorced in 1938, she married Cotton Forbes. They had no children. Divorced again about 1949, she married Roy Sims in 1953. Roy died in 1981.
She lived most of her life in Duncan, and was a longtime member of First Christian Church.
Survivors include a son, Gene Cash and wife Mary Gene of Emory; three grand-children, Becky Hevia and husband Damian, and Mark Cash and wife Norrine, all of Houston, Texas, and Gary Cash and wife Rose of Riverside, Calif.; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Ted Cline and John Cline, who lived in Duncan; and three sisters, Mildred Marie Lee who lived in Van Buren, Ark., and Lillian Belle Williams and Ruth Jane Armstrong, who lived in Duncan.
