ALMIRA S. ANDERSON BRODERSON, 1877 – 1929
ELMIRA BRODERSON OF DECORIA DIES-Funeral In Decoria, Thursday At 2 O'clock; Burial In Decoria Cemetery.
Elmira Broderson, wife of Peter M. Broderson of Decoria Township passed away at a local hospital last evening after a short illness. Mrs. Broderson was born in Rapidan Township, April 27, 1877, thus being fifty two years old at the time of her death. She was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Anderson of Rapidan. Elmira Anderson was united in marriage in 1907 to Peter M. Broderson at Rapidan who survives her with three children, John, Grace and Walter, all at home.
She is also survived by her mother, Mrs. J. R. Anderson of Rapidan Township; two sisters, Mrs. Anna Allen of Marietta, Minn., and Mrs. Jennie Pugh of Randall, Minn.; and four brothers, A. W. Anderson of Decoria township, James Anderson of Alpha, Minn., and David and John Anderson of Rapidan township.
Mrs. Anderson was a woman of fine character and was a loving wife and devoted mother. Her fine character won her a host of friends who mourn her passing.
Funeral services will be held at the home in Decoria township Thursday afternoon at 2 'clock, Rev. E. P. Gabriel of the Christian Church of Mankato officiating. Interment will be in Decoria cemetery. Pallbearers will be Peter Peterson, Chris Hoiberg, Nels Jepson, Mads Madson, Ed Tarjesen, and Hans Erickson. MFP, 7/24/1929.
