June was born in Paris, Illinois to Usher Holcomb and Inez Dickson. She met John Robert Tiley as a teen-ager and married him July 3 1938. Together they had three children:Janet, , Jerry, and Judith. The family moved from Illinois to Ca in the 1950's. June was a Pinkerton Detective as well as a Licensed Vocational Nurse in the State of California. She and John founded and owned a metal fabrication company "Gardena Metal Parts Inc." In Gardena Ca. A few years after John died, June rekindled a childhood friendship , and moved to Iowa and married Raymond Miller of Albia, on Nov 8 1985. After Ray's death in 1987 she moved back to California, where she lived until her death in August of 2007.
June enjoyed her family and numerous friends. She loved bird watching, painting, playing cards and visiting with others. She was extremely kind and generous. She is survived by her sister Virginia Marquiss, daughter Judy, 8 grandchildren and numerous great and great great grandchildren. She will be dearly missed by all who loved her.
