NKRUMAH – Nana Sandys Bodom Nkrumah, age 60, peacefully transitioned to his eternal reward on March 6, 2021.  Sandys was born May 19, 1960 in Akyem-Abodom, Ghana. Sandys was one of 13 children to parents Kwasi Bodom and Amma Ohenewaa and is survived by only one brother Felix Odum Boateng.  Sandys attended school in Ghana all the way through to his Bachelor's degree.  In 1998, Sandys came to the United States to pursue his Masters and Doctoral Programs at Ohio University Athens, ultimately gaining his PHD in Education and Curriculum. Sandys was the father of five wonderful children - Ohenewaa Nkrumah, Nana Kwasi Bodom Nkrumah, Ohenebah Amoah Nkrumah, Kate Rhoda Danchi Nkrumah, and Ruth Ama Nkrumah-Martey. Sandys was a man of compassion who loved helping others and carried that into his employment with Catholic Relief Services and the Heinzerling Foundation. Sandys felt his greatest life's passion, however, was his passion for prayer. He spent many hours each day interceding for others and expressing his love for Jesus Christ.  We are confident that He has heard those longed-for words, "Well done thy good and faithful servant, enter into the joy of the Lord!"
