BREWER, DONNA MADDOX - age 55, passed away April 14th, 2012 in Knoxville. Born in Lafollette, February 15th 1957, she graduated from Powell Valley HS in 1974 and received her diploma from St. Mary's School of Nursing in 1977. Donna graduated Cum Laude with a BSN from the University of South Alabama in 1995. Donna was preceded in death by her mother Marie Lambert Maddox; sister and best friend, Charlene Jones. She is survived by her husband, Darcy A. Brewer, and children Elizabeth and Charles Meadors Brewer, daughter-in-law, Lucy Martinez Brewer, and grandchild Makayla; father and step mother, Verlin and Charlene Maddox, sister Judy and the Redmons, sisters-in-law Rhonda Kautz, Carol Winner, Darlene Brewer Ford, nephews Jeremy, Carl and niece Leslie; brother-in-law Donald Jones and nephew Justin and the Jones Family; also Donna's good friends; LuAnne, Brenda, Vicki, Mary, Rita and a host of relatives and friends. Donna accepted Jesus into her life at an early age and was a loving wife and mother. She was a home health and hospice nurse and a great Army wife for over 26 years. A special thank you to the staff of Mercy/Tennova Residential Hospice for taking such wonderful care of Donna. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the Huntington's Disease Society of America (HDSA) at www.hdsa.org/ or Cawood United Methodist Church. A Memorial Service to celebrate Donna's life will be held at Cawood United Methodist Church, 4436 Old Highway 63, Speedwell, Tennessee 37870 on Saturday, April 28th from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. with lunch being served by the ladies of the church.
