Richard L. Shirey, 88, of Economy Boro, died Tuesday March 9,2021, Good Samaritan Hospice, Beaver.
Born December 10,1932, Clearfield,Pa. He was the son of the late Martha Mae Shirey Ziegler and step-father Fred Ziegler.
He was retired from Crucible Research Center, Robinson Twp., member of First Methodist Church of Ambridge, Beaver County Model Airplane Club and was a US Army Korean War Veteran.
In addition to his mother and step-father, he was preceded in death by his wife Doris J. Shirey.
Surviving are one son and daughter-in-law, Richard W. and Suzanne Shirey ,Baden, one daughter and son-in-law, Jacqueline and David Tillman, Ft Mills, SC, five grandchildren, Melinda Sue Shirey, Tiffany and Chris Pate, Alyssa Zayak, Jacob and Jill Zayak, Ian Zayak, four great-grandchildren, Holden, Guy, and Scarlet Pate and James Zayak.
Friends will be received Thursday 2-6 BOHN-MATICH FUNERAL & CREMATION SERVICES,INC.,1099 Maplewood Ave.,Ambridge. A Funeral Service will be held Friday March 12,2021 at 10:00am, First Methodist Church of Ambridge, with Rev Harriet Hutton, officiating. Everyone Please Meet At The Church. Interment will follow at Sylvania Hills Memorial Park.
