Marian Nona Morris lived in Kaufman County until 1883 when she and her family moved to Comanche County. From Comanche County, they moved to Jones County in 1891. She taught school in and around Anson for seven years. She married Clarence L. Wright in 1898. Mr. Wright was a rural mail carrier at the time. Mrs. Wright joined the Methodist Church in 1883, at the time of her marriage to Mr. Wright, she placed her membership in the Cumberland Presbyterian Church with Mr. Wright. In 1934, Mr. and Mrs. Wright transferred their membership to the Methodist Church. Services were held in the Methodist Church. Survived by her husband; three children - Frank Wright, Alice Wright, and Marion Wright; one brother - Edwin Morris; three sisters - Mrs. J.M. Woodson, Mrs. Fred C. Neal, Mrs. Burl Hight.
