Etta May Metheny was born at Lebanon, Kansas, in 1899 and died at her home north of Guy, Kansas, April 13, 1925, at the age of 26 years, 5 months and 25 days.
She united with the Nazarine Church when a girl and has been a faithful member ever since.
She moved with her parents to Sheridan County in the year 1906 where she made her home until she was married to Orris Cressler on February 21, 1922, when she moved to her husband's home north of Guy where they have since resided.
To this union were born two children, Arthur age 2 years and an infant son who passed on with his mother.
She leaves to mourn her departure, her husband and son Arthur, a father, six brothers, two sisters and a great many other relatives and friends. Her mother and one sister preceded her to the great beyond some time ago.
The funeral services were held at the Chicago Church by Rev. Dick and the bodies of both mother and son were laid to rest in the Lucerne Cemetery. –Morland Monitor
