Joseph Guarasci on February 24, 2003 at the age of 76. A resident of New Rochelle. He was the husband of the late Eleanor Guarasci. Loving father to Lynn Nardi, Janet and Lisa Melfi. Cherished grandfather to Christopher and Gregory, survived by his sisters Angela Pietropaolo, Dolores Guarasci, Margaret Martz and predeceased by his brother Jack. He attended Iona College and served on the New Rochelle Police Force as a Lieutenant and retired as a Community Relations Officer. Mr. Guarasci served as PBA President, and on the Superior Officer Association. He was a strong advocate of benefits for police departments especially through active legislature lobbying in Albany. Visitation will be Tuesday 7-9 pm, Wednesday 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be at Our Lady of Perpetual Help on Thursday 10 am. Interment to follow at Beechwood Cemetery. GEORGE T.
