James Gordon Dailey, 88, of Chillicothe, died 5:00 am Tuesday, November 13, 2018 at National Church Residences-Chillicothe, following an extended illness.

He was born January 2, 1930 in Chillicothe to the late George and Clemence Dray Dailey. He married Donna Wisecup, who survives. Also surviving are two children, Cristal Dailey, Frankfort and John Dailey, Columbus; two step-children, Amy (Shawn) Bruntlett, Indianapolis, IN, and Karin (Jeff) Combs, Logansport, IN; two grandchildren, Kenny Bruntlett and Ann Ulerick; a brother, Richard (Judy) Dailey, Chillicothe; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by an infant brother.

Mr. Dailey was a US Navy veteran of the Korean War. He retired as a claims adjuster in 1985 from Ohio Casualty Insurance Company. He was an avid fisherman and a member of the VFW Post 62 and the Eagles Aerie 600.

Funeral services will be held 1:00 pm Friday at the Haller Funeral Home & Crematory, Rev. Jason Link officiating. Burial will follow in Concord Church Cemetery.
