Beloved wife of 36 years of William R. Shomaker, formerly of Franklin, Ind. and Valencia, Pa.
Also survived by loving children, William R. Shomaker III and his wife Christi and Lisa Marie Akers and her husband Benjamin; grandsons, Connor W. Shomaker and Kyle and Jake Akers, all of Indianapolis, Ind.; a brother, James Mooney of Weaton, Md.; and by her mother-in-law, Margaret "Peg" Shomaker of Sarasota, Fla.
She was preceded in death by her parents, James H. and Kathryn Hall Mooney.
While living in the Valencia area, Kathryn had been a member of Holy Sepulcher Parish, the Spiritual Life and the Small Christian Community. She had been a chairperson for the Welcome Wagon and a co-chairperson for the parish festival for four years. She was a former "soccer mom" and enjoyed her reading time and crocheting.
In Franklin, she was a member of the St. Rose of Lima Parish and the treasurer of the Newcomers.
In Newport, she was a member of St. Mary's Parish.
Friends invited from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday in the ORION C. PINKERTON FUNERAL HOME INC., a Golden Rule Member Firm, 1014 California Ave., Avalon, (North Boros). Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. Saturday morning at Holy Sepulcher Church, Route 8 at Cruikshank Road, Butler, Middlesex Twp. Burial in St. Mary's Cemetery, Sharpsburg.
