Amanda Caroline Clampitt was born in Bascoe, Hancock County, Illinois on Sept 28, 1859. Her family moved to Rush Co, Kansas in the 1877, and she married Frank Scott Rowlen in 1885. She and her husband had 4 children, Della, Ethel, Hubert, and one dying in infancy. After the death of F.S. Rowlen in 1915, she was married to Rev. John Jacob Davis in 1921 who died December 15, 1936. Amanda died in Topeka, Kansas on July 20, 1936, at Christ's Hospital.
