IDA DOBSON WALKER
Mrs. Ida Dobson Walker, 82, resident of Olustee, passed away Friday nighty July 22, following an extended illness. Mrs. Walker was a native of Baker County and had resided in 0lustee her entire life. She was the wife of the late Albert J. Walker Sr. of Olustee. She was the daughter of the late Elijah Dobson and Mary Roberts Dobson of Olustee.
Mrs. Walker was a member of the Olustee Baptist Church. Survivors are one daughter, Mrs. Mary Highsmith of Jacksonville. Three sons: Mr. Elijah Walker of Glen St. Mary, Mack Walker of Olustee, and Mr. John Carroll Walker of Olustee, Fla. Several Grandchildren and Great-Greandchildren also survive. Funeral services were conducted Sunday, July 23, at 2 p.m. in the Chapel of Sherril-Guerry Funeral Home with Rev. Paul Mikell, Pastor of the College Manor Mission Church officiating. Interment was in Swift Creek Cemetery, west of Lake Butler, with Sherrill-Guerry Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Active Pallbearers were:Roy Couey, Dave Owens, J. K. Dobson, Johnny Croft Jr., Acy Green and Harry Johns.
Honorary Pallbearers were: Joe Dobson, Johnny Croft, Freddy Roberts, N. C. McConnell, Roberts, N. C. McConnell, Roy Tyre, T. J. Barton, C. N Kirkland and W. C. Cobb.
