A Charitable Entertainment.— On
Easter Sunday the Beechworth Town Band,
an organisation which appears to be ever
ready to give assistance to the needy and
pleasure to the public, will perform a
sacred programme at Queen Victoria Park,
when a collection will be taken up on be
half of the widow and three little children
of the late A. Marcham who are in very
distressed circumstances. There will not
be a single shilling of expenditure by the
band in connection with this recital, and
the public will no doubt give as liberally
as they can afford and the hardship of the
case warrants.
Not certain he is buried here.
