Ann Dunaway Porter, widow of Donald Lee Porter, departed this life on Friday, March 5, 2021, with family by her side, having attained the age of 83 years. She was born in Bath County, Kentucky, on May 27, 1937, the daughter of the late Brice and Bertha Gilvin Dunaway. Ann was a graduate of Bourbon County High School, a retired employee of Kentucky Textiles, a member of Flat Rock Homemakers and a member of Peyton’s Lick Christian Church.

Surviving are: two daughters, Donna Gail Pendleton and Deanna Charles Foley; three grandchildren, Jessica Leighann Pendleton, Ryan Dane (Ashley) Foley and Tanner Brice Foley; three great-grandchildren, Brody Grant Harris, Claire Ryan Foley and Heidi Wren Foley; a brother, Nelson (Mary Ruth) Dunaway; a sister, Cotton (Buddy) Dawson; and a special niece, Cynthia Dunaway Roe. She was preceded in death by a sister, Beulah Hinkle.

The funeral service will be at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 9, at Hinton-Turner Funeral Home, with Rev. Chuck Perry officiating. Interment will follow in Longview Cemetery, in Bethel, with casket bearers being Kenny Mac Hinkle, Cameron Caskey, Gary Lee Flanders, Ryan Foley, Gene Sherman, Kenny Boyd, Jeff Robinson and Mike Grooms. Honorary bearers will be Nelson Dunaway, John Dunaway, Bill Martin, Tanner Foley, Darrel Maddox, Marvin Geeslin, Timmy Bohahan, Ricky Bridges, Charles Douglas Dunaway, Brody Harris, Heidi Foley, Claire Foley, Jessica Pendleton and members of Peyton’s Lick Christian Church. Visitation will be after 11:00 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to: Bluegrass Hospice Care, 1317 US Highway 62 East, Cynthiana, Kentucky 41031; or Peyton’s Lick Christian Church, in care of David Turner, 867 Mount Sterling Road, Paris, Kentucky 40361.
