Thomas Yeatman (c1821-90) was an editor of The Intelligencer in St. Louis in 1850 and a lawyer in New Haven, Conn in 1860. He married in 1847, Lucretia Pope (1826-91) who was still living in New Haven in 1870 without a husband. She was living in St. Louis in 1880 listed as a widow. Their children were Thomas, Jr. (c1856-1911) who was an attorney in St. Louis in 1880 and later an editorial writer on the St. Louis Post-Dispatch; Cynthia P. (c1859-); and Pope Yeatman (1861-1953).

Thomas Yeatman and Lucretia were divorced during the Civil War because of political differences. Thomas remarried and died in Paris in 1890.

Cynthia P. Yeatman (c1859-) married Arthur W. Sewell (c1861-) and lived in Philadelphia. A son was Arthur Sewell (c1891-).

Pope Yeatman (1861-1953) was a consulting mining engineer and lived in Springfield, Pa. He married Georgie Claibourne Watkins (1862-1941), and their children were Jane Bell (1900-94), Georgina (c1902-), and Pope Yeatman, Jr. (1904-58).
