Barbara Anne Ferguson (Perry) of Warr Acres, Oklahoma, passed from this world to be with her Lord and Savior on February 28, 2021 in her home surrounded by family.

Barbara was born July 16, 1942 in Houston, Texas to Orba Jefferson Perry and Mildred Mae Perry (Hunter). Barbara grew up in the Houston area and graduated from Aldine High School in 1960.

She moved to Bethany to attend Bethany Nazarene College in the Fall of 1960 where she completed her junior standing.

Barbara met the love of her life, Olen Tevis Ferguson, in the Fall of 1960. Barbara and Olen were married on August 30, 1961 in Denver City, Texas.

Barbara and Olen shared fifty-eight and one-half loved filled years. Of this marriage they were blessed with two sons, Olen Tevis Ferguson, Jr., and Robert Wayne Ferguson.

Barbara worked for Kiddie Kollege at the Calvary Church of the Nazarene for fifteen years taking care of the babies. Once leaving there she worked for Deaconess Hospital as unit secretary.

Barbara enjoyed spending time with family and friends. She was a talented artist and loved to sing. She was blessed with the voice of an angel. She used her talent to sing for the Lord’s work by singing in churches and making recordings of her and Olen singing.

Barbara was a devoted loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She made everyone who came into her life feel loved and special.

Barbara was preceded in death by her parents, Orba Jefferson Perry and Mildred Mae Perry (Hunter); one son, Olen Tevis Ferguson, Jr.; four brothers, Samuel Newton Perry, Carl Guy Perry, Charles Ray Perry, and Orba Jefferson Perry, Jr. (Buddy); one sister, Lillie Carroll Foley (Perry); and her beloved father and mother-in-law, Ralph Tevis Ferguson (Ted) and Una Hazel Ferguson (Hughlett).

She is survived by her beloved husband, Olen Tevis Ferguson of the home; one son, Robert Wayne Ferguson and wife Tammy of El Reno, Oklahoma; one brother, Robert James and Misty Perry of Houston, Texas; one sister, Sharon Lavaughn and Jimmy Luna of Magnolia, Texas; four grandchildren, Heather McMillan and husband Jason of Hinton, Oklahoma, Heath Pennel and wife Shaly of El Reno, Oklahoma, Holli Robinson and husband Kenny of El Reno, Allison Ferguson of Idabel, Oklahoma; seven great-grandchildren, Savannah, Trevor, Makenzy, Paul, Levi, Asearia and Azayo; many nieces, nephews, and cousins; and her beloved fur baby, Valentine.

Viewing will be Friday, 9am-8pm, with family present from 6-8pm at Mercer-Adams Funeral Service. Celebration of life service will be held Saturday, March 6, 2021 at New Hope Worship Center, 3513 N. Geraldine Avenue, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma 73112 with interment in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.
