Tuesday night Harry Knowlton, aged 42 years died at his home in the southwest part of town, after four years affliction with [lip] cancer, the last months of which were a time of great suffering.

Mr. Knowlton was born in Coffey county, Kansas. On 23 June 1905 he was married to Miss Pearl Pierce at Ralston, Oklahoma and to them five children were born, four daughters and a son.

The Knowltons came to Osage county in 1910 and farmed four miles east of Hominy until the malady with which he was afflicted became so far advanced it was impossible for him to continue, at which time he moved to Hominy.

The funeral was held at the house Wednesday at 5:00 p.m., Rev. Ridgway officiating and burial was at Hominy cemetery. The bereaved wife and children have the deepest sympathy of the community.

On 23 June 1905, Ayera married Pearl M. Pierce. Their children include, Bessie, Gladys, Vivian/Viveon, Lena Mae, Harry Leon Knowlton

After Ayera died, Pearl married his best friend Thomas J. Stephens in 1918. Their children include, Paul, Mary, Beaulah, Audrey, Billy, Bobby, Betty Stephens.
