Elbert Brenton Bailey, 83, of Grapevine, passed away at a local hospital on Tuesday, March 2, 2021.

Graveside services will be 2:00 p.m. Friday, March at Fairview Cemetery in Hubbard with Rev. Ricky Woodall officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00 - 1:30 p.m. Friday, March 5 at Wade Funeral Home in Hubbard.

Elbert was born August 26, 1937, in Hubbard to Bert and Beatrice (Emmons) Bailey. He graduated from high school in Fort Worth and worked as an engineer for the City of Fort Worth and Brown and Root Construction and also later worked at Lowe’s Home Store.

Elbert was a Mason and a member of the Texas Senior Engineer Technicians and was a Baptist.

He was preceded in death by his parents and 10 brothers and sisters.

Survivors include his wife, Martha Ann (Honea) Bailey of Grapevine; three children, Vanessa and John Saxon of Chico, Brenton and Nora Bailey of Keller and Bertie Allen and Cherryll Bailey of Moravian Falls, North Carolina; a twin brother, Delbert and Dorothy Bailey of West; 11 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews and other extended family members.
