Edna Alverta Anderson-Michaels, 93, formerly of Armagh, died Sunday, Nov. 18, 2001, in UPMC Lee Regional, Johnstown. She was born Feb. 12, 1908, in Johnstown, daughter of the late Albert E. and Carrie (Conner) Owens. She attended Seward United Methodist Church and the Church of Christ, Blairsville, and was former organist and pianist. She was a former member of the Eastern Star. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Clifford George Anderson; her second husband, James Harry Michaels; a daughter, Betty McIntosh; a son, Robert L. Anderson; and four sisters, Blanche Phyllis, Geneva George, Bula Ford and Violet Kleinhample. Survivors include five grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; three stepdaughters, Pauline Heim, Dolly McQuown and Fran Evans; and numerous stepgrandchildren and stepgreat-grandchildren. Friends will be received Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the JON A. MEESE FUNERAL HOME, Van Horn and Fifth streets, Seward. Private interment. Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
